Whatever book you are reading has something in it to help you on your way. No book can be all bad, and many are in fact mostly good. Sometimes the ore is hidden deep in the mine, and one labors at the coalface for unnecessary amounts of time. But there is no person, no book, no movie, no art that is so bereft of value that it is utterly worthless. In every act of creation God is present, waiting to be discovered. The essence of the spiritual journey is the discovery of the presence of the sacred in every day things, in everyday people, in everyday life.
