A Prayer for Peace, Comfort and Safety
The Lord is my shepherd I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he stores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the forever. (Psalm 23)
Prayers for Protection
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. (Psalm 55:22)
Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings. (Psalm 57:1-7)
My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. (Psalm 62:1-2)
Prayer for Rescue
I cry aloud to the Lord; I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy. I pour out my complaint before him; before him I tell my trouble. When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me. Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life.
I cry to you, O Lord; I say, "You are my refuge my portion in the land of the living." Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are strong for me. (Psalm 142:1-6)
Have mercy on me, O God, Have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. (Psalm 57:1)
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. (Psalm 57:5)
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. (Psalm 57:10-11)
