Prayers of Thanks

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! Give thanks to the God of Gods. Give thanks to the Lord of Lords. Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles. Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. Give thanks to him who placed the earth on the water. Give thanks to him who made the heavenly lights, the sun to rule the day, and the moon and stars to rule the night. He gives food to every living thing. Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1-9, 25-26)

As the deer pants for cooling streams, we too seek the clear waters of life.
We give shouts for joy and thanksgiving for the fruits of this earth - the bounteous gifts of nature we too often take for granted.
We pray for the wisdom and ability to make the most of this miniscule period on earth, and that our journey will be safe, not alone, dedicated and fulfilled.
